Mat Leave is not half as relaxing second time round...

So as of this week I started to take time off work and "slow" down, but lets be serious... How relaxing is Mat Leave going to be when you have a one year old?!? Who knew "working" was actually "mat leave" in disguise. I have never been so knackered in my entire life. My wee monkey got her jags last week and I have been doing Overtime EVER since...

Work is Easy... You know what you need to do and you get on with it. There is a rhyme and reason for what you need to do, why you need to do it and when you need to do it. But with babies. Sometimes there really is no rhyme or reason as to why, how and when they want to cry. Genuinely... I don't even think they know what they're crying for...

So even after all the Tears and the Tantrums... When Lotti gives me her cheeky toothy smile and kisses for no reason... The Tears are Forgotten and the Tantrums are Forgiven... until the Next time...

Don't let the smile deceive you

Literally 2 seconds later...

I just had a FREAKING bubble bath!!!

This may seem like an every day occurrence or possibly a weekly indulgence for many of you baby-less people. But for people like me... I can assure you. This is a once in a year kind of Summer Holiday (which btw I have not been on...)

Today marks a very special day for me. (Not just because I had a bubble bath) but because I have let my baby girl have a sleepover without me. She is over a year old and only now have I let her stay at her grans. Minus me. Not by choice, but because she is not well and was fast asleep by the time I finished work and I didn't want to wake her up and take her out in the cold and bring her upstairs and wake her up. Incase she caught a chill. "Can you hear the desperation in my voice as I try to justify why I left my daughter?" It's actually pathetic. The guilt I feel leaving her at her grannies and knowing I won't be there if she "needs" me for a cuddle during the night is beyond ridiculous. It Is infact so ridiculous that I've decided to blog about it. But Hey Ho. Guysssss!! I just had a freaking BuBBle Bath!! With candles and shit!

I had a Margherita BUBBle Bath which was gifted to me by my Sister-in-Laws Sister who gave me it ironically after giving birth because I could finally have drink. But I never got upto much drinking as I was too busy breast feeding and trying to make sure I didn't get Lotti drunk and then the minute I stopped. I was gifted with Eliott. And it has only taken me over a year later to use my non alcoholic Margherita BuBBle Bath... Which was just bloody delightful :D
